Short-Term Care
Recovery, post-discharge and respite care
At St Agatha Care, we understand that caring for an elderly loved one is a significant commitment. There may be times when you need to take a planned break or simply step back due to other life responsibilities. This is where respite care can help — giving you peace of mind while your loved one receives support from a qualified, self-employed carer.
Likewise, helping someone transition from hospital back to daily life can be challenging, especially if your schedule doesn't allow you to be present as much as you'd like. After-hospital care can provide essential support during this period of adjustment, when routines may be disrupted, and extra assistance is needed.
As an introductory agency, St Agatha Care connects clients with experienced carers who offer flexible, short-term support for both respite and post-discharge needs. Whether a few hours a day or live-in care is required, carers provide not only practical help but also valuable companionship — tailored to each client's needs.

John's Story:
Recovering at home with the best care
“We first heard about St Agatha Care agency and its carers from someone visiting a sick family member in St George's Hospital, Tooting. We were in a crisis moment, where our Dad was suddenly going to need full time care and we didn't know who to turn to or what to do. After a brief conversation in the hospital, St Agatha and Sara were recommended to us. The agency has provided us with carers who are kind, professional, skilled and caring. Sara has worked tirelessly to provide us with round the clock rotas (particularly over Christmas and New Year) which have helped to lighten the burden of caring for a very sick parent. From nothing, we now have a system in place and are confident that our Dad is getting the best care that he needs. I wholeheartedly would recommend St Agatha Care and Sara Castro. In our experience, they will go out of their way to help you.”
